I am Japanese born and raised and moved to Portola 15 years ago. I am appreciative of the popularity in Japanese Art and culinary traditions and it gratifies me to see my community embrace Japanese foods, Japanese paper crafts (Origami) and especially the Japanese Green Tea Ceremony. The interest in the venerable art of Chado (The Way Of Tea) gives me a spiritual connection to all who embrace this oldest of Japanese cultural traditions. I am a Master of Sagagoryu (IKEBANA) and Master of Urasenke (Chado). It also gives me pleasure and joy to know others have this interest in my culture and wish to experience the Japanese Arts. A kinship forms when we can share what is special. It is truly a beautiful thing to share artistic expression in our ethically diverse cultures.
Creating new bonds together.
